# Bring your own carrier

> Keep your phone company or office phone system and let Kallabot's agents answer and call through it.

Already have numbers with a phone company, or an office phone system? Connect it, and your agents answer and make calls on those numbers. Your carrier keeps billing you for the line as usual.

Open **Numbers → Add**, then choose one of:

* **Connect your phone company:** Twilio, DIDLogic, DIDWW, Vonage, Bandwidth, or any other carrier that offers SIP.
* **Connect your office phone system:** 3CX, FreePBX, Zoom Phone, Cisco, or any other PBX.

## The four steps

**1. Your company**

Pick your carrier or phone system from the list. Kallabot fills in the right settings for it. Choose **Other** if yours isn't listed.

**2. Link**

How you link depends on your provider:

> [tab] Twilio
>
> Paste your Twilio **Account SID** and **Auth Token**. Kallabot finds your numbers and sets up the connection on your Twilio account for you. No SIP settings to copy.

> [tab] Other carriers
>
> Enter the SIP address your carrier gave you, and either a SIP **username and password** or, if your carrier uses addresses instead, the **IP addresses** it sends calls from. Kallabot shows you its own SIP address and IP to add on your carrier's side.

> [tab] Office phone system
>
> Kallabot shows you a SIP address and login details to add to your phone system as a new trunk. Calls your system sends to that trunk reach your agent.

**3. Your numbers**

Tick the numbers on this connection and choose which agent answers each one.

**4. Hear it work**

Kallabot places a test call through your connection so you can hear the agent answer, before any customer does.

## Good to know

* **Check the connection** any time from its page. Kallabot tells you in plain words if your carrier can't be reached or refuses the login.
* **Calling out** from these numbers goes through your carrier, at your carrier's rates.
* **Transfers** a call makes on your own carrier are billed by your carrier. A call's detail page says who carried the transferred part.
* **Advanced settings** like number format, a dialling prefix, codecs and DTMF mode are there if your carrier needs them. Most people never touch them.
