Kallabot measures phone and browser calls in minutes. Your workspace has a pool of minutes, and you can give some to each person on your team.

Where minutes come from

1

The pool

Minutes your workspace has. Calls that don’t belong to anyone in particular, like an agent answering your main number, use the pool.
2

Each person's share

Give minutes to a person from People: open them and move minutes from the pool. Calls they make use their own minutes first.

How a call uses minutes

  • A call reserves a few minutes when it starts, so two calls can’t spend the same minute.
  • When it ends, it’s charged for the time it actually took and the rest goes back.
  • If a call was transferred to a person through Kallabot, the transferred part is charged at a separate rate. If your own phone company carried it, it isn’t charged in Kallabot at all; the call page says which.
  • Minutes settle shortly after a call ends. Until then, the call shows its minutes as an estimate.

When minutes run out

When there are no minutes left for a call, Kallabot won’t start it, and the person who tried sees why. Incoming calls aren’t put through to the agent either. So keep an eye on your balance, especially before a busy week.
Owners can see the workspace’s minutes, each person’s balance and how many minutes were used today.
