Phone regulators in many countries want to know who’s behind a number. Before you can buy a local number there, you send a verification: your business details, an address in the right place, and a document or two. Once it’s approved, you can reuse it for more numbers in that country. Kallabot tells you, before you buy, whether a number needs one and exactly what it asks for.

Start a verification

You can start one from Numbers → Add → Start a verification, or right in the middle of buying a number that needs it.
1

Pick the country and number type

Requirements depend on both. A UK mobile number asks for different things than a UK local one.
2

Tell us who you are

Your business name and details, or your own if you’re a sole trader.
3

Add an address

Many countries want an address in that country, or even in the number’s area. Save it once; your address book is reused next time.
4

Upload documents

For example a trade licence, a utility bill or an ID. Kallabot says which ones count. Documents you’ve uploaded before are in your library.
5

Check and send

Kallabot checks your answers against the country’s rules before you send, so you catch mistakes early. Then send it for review.

After you send it

Numbers you saved while waiting stay reserved for you where possible. If one gets taken in the meantime, you can swap it for another.

Keeping it current

Some verifications need renewing, and you can replace one if your business details change. You’ll see a prompt on the verification when either is needed.
Verification is reviewed by our phone number provider, Twilio, under the country’s rules. Kallabot sends them only what the verification asks for.
